You can reach Julie Shenkman Designs at our private studio on the beautiful California coast in Half Moon Bay.  Call 650 726-1005 to reach us Monday through Friday, 9:00 – 5:00 pm PST, or contact us through email. 

 

Delivery Time

 

If the jewelry you have selected is in stock, all efforts will be made to send it within 48 hours of receipt of order, pending credit card authorization.  However, much of our jewelry is made-to-order.  Please allow up to four business days (during non holiday times) for your jewelry to be produced and ready to be shipped.  If you require it sooner, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Standard Shipping

Orders are subject to a shipping and handling fee of $7. within the United States, and are shipped UPS Ground.  Please note that UPS deliveries cannot be made to PO boxes.  UPS Next Day Air is also available upon request (please call or contact us with required timeframe and shipping location).  Orders over $200. will be SHIPPED FREE by 3-day shipping via UPS within the United States.

 

Packaging and Gift Boxes

 

Standard orders are shipped in non-tarnishing jewelers cotton within a white or natural tone cardboard jewelry box made from 100% recycled materials. 

 

By selecting the enhanced "giftbox" option when you place your order, your jewelry purchase will be sent in a beautifully elegant leatherette jewelry keepsake box, with an outside snap closure and velvet interior, placed within a box suitable for wrapping.   

 

 

If you are purchasing Children's jewelry, and you select the enhanced "giftbox' option, we will choose packaging that best suits the item purchased.  If you have a specific giftbox request from the selections below, please let us know and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

 

International


International shipping fees vary by country and will be quoted individually.  Please contact us to receive a quote, including your contact information and the country you’d like the item(s) sent to. 

 

Custom Orders


Need an incredible piece for that special event or outfit?  Looking for something uniquely you for your special wedding day?  Presents for your bridesmaids?  We would love to help.  Most items on our website are available in different sizes, metals and stones.  Custom pieces are available based on time and materials. 

 

Returns and Exchanges

We think that you’ll love the jewelry you receive.  However, if what you get isn’t what you expected and you wish to return it for an online store credit or exchange, we’re happy to help you.  You have 10 days from receipt to return the unworn, undamaged, and untangled item in its’ original packaging, and we will provide a different selection, or an online store credit, minus shipping and handling fees.  If you use bubble-wrap, please also use a hard box to ensure that the piece is not damaged during shipping. 

Please contact us to receive an Exchange or Return Authorization Code and return shipping address.  Jewelry must be returned via UPS, FEDEX, or insured registered mail.  We regret that custom orders are non-returnable. 

Jewelry Care

Most artisan jewelry is delicate and requires extra care.  Please handle your jewelry gently and do not pull or tug on it.  For non-chain necklaces (such as those made with wire), be careful not to bend it as it may retain the bend, affecting the way the jewelry lays.  It is best to lay it gently in a circular fashion for storage. 

We ask that you do not use liquid cleaning solution or jewelry cleaning machines on our jewelry as it will cause damage.  Repeated exposure to harsh chemicals often found in beauty products such as hairspray, deodorant and perfumes can cause your jewelry to discolor or lose it’s finish, so we recommend putting your jewelry on after you have used those products. 

When traveling, store your jewelry in a hard case versus a soft jewelry pouch, to avoid bending the delicate wires.  We recommend using a soft cloth to clean stones, and a silver polishing cloth to brighten up your silver as needed. 

Repairs

If a jewelry item is in need of repair, please contact us.  If an item is damaged beyond normal wear and tear and it has been more than six months since the date of purchase, a time and materials charge will apply.
